Perspectiva's training and consulting services are designed to help clients become more effective in their toughest conversations. Our core competencies are in negotiation, conflict management, communication, and diversity consulting. Perspectiva’s offerings build upon the ideas and frameworks from the Harvard Negotiation Project and apply them to clients’ specific business challenges.
All Perspectiva courses are highly interactive and taught via the facilitation method of delivery to maximize participant engagement and learning. Each course is custom designed for the client to ensure that the material resonates with the intended audience.

Courses & Workshops
Perspectiva’s workshops are designed to build the individual skills and confidence necessary to engage constructively in a variety of challenging conversations. All Perspectiva courses are highly interactive and taught via the facilitation method of delivery to maximize participant engagement, learning, and retention. With this purpose in mind, these courses involve role plays, case simulations, the exchange of perspectives, and real-time feedback from faculty and participants. Through this interactive framework, participants learn a variety of skills and perspectives to help them navigate complex business and personal conversations more skillfully. Participants learn how to apply these skills to various scenarios drawn from their setting and review their experiences through a facilitated discussion led by the instructor.

All courses and workshops are designed to help attorneys and other professionals meet their continuing education credits. Perspectiva is able to assist accredited CLE providers/sponsoring organizations with the course application process.
Facilitation & Mediation
At times, it may be most helpful to bring in external resources to help resolve differences, improve internal inefficiencies, or to ask the hard questions that are being avoided.
Facilitation services may be useful when meetings become routinely challenging and unproductive, or when stakeholders feel their interests are not being met or that they are being excluded from the process. Facilitation may help get meetings back on track and to create an inclusive and productive atmosphere. Perspectiva’s facilitation services include meeting facilitation, coaching, and teaching facilitation skills in the Train-the-Trainer format.
In other instances, when disputes have escalated, a mediator may be the best option. We are fully trained and experienced in handling a variety of disputes including contract, employment, domestic relations, and housing cases.
Diversity Consulting
Organizations and individuals often face specific challenges related to diversity in the workplace broadly defined. This can take the form of challenges in communicating across differences, establishing internal processes that take into account diverse perspectives and needs, as well as group training and one-on-one coaching.
In our experience, one of the most difficult challenges for diversity discussions within organizations is the task of actually beginning the conversation. When issues of diversity are finally addressed, the approach is frequently ineffective when measured by how well minority and women employees felt their concerns were met. Perspectiva’s diversity consulting prioritizes enabling participants to learn experientially with the belief that this approach has the strongest potential to impact behavior. Our diversity work introduces participants to concepts that enhance their understanding of, and approach to, conversations involving issues of diversity. Participants then have the opportunity to practice engaging effectively in such conversations and to review their experiences through a discussion facilitated by the course instructor. Diversity within these courses is broadly defined to include race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, and cross-cultural topics.
In the diversity realm, Perspectiva offers corporate education programs, coaching, and consulting services. Recent engagements include courses to help attorneys explore diverse perspectives in the workplace, consulting on organizational communication practices and policies related to diversity, and facilitating conversations on diversity within intact groups. Currently, Perspectiva is partnering with the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession and Harvard Law School’s Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program regarding the legal profession’s first coordinated examination of the way law firms communicate internally about issues of diversity and inclusion.
Coaching
All of Perspectiva’s services may be tailored for one-on-one coaching. Past coaching engagements include assisting clients in negotiating employment terms and flexible work arrangements, delivering bad news, giving tough feedback, and developing strong interpersonal skills for key relationships. Topics, skills and duration of the coaching relationship may be customized to meet a variety of needs.
